Education
The YES Academy Education Program is an academic day/evening program located on the campus. Mercer Area School District provides highly qualified teachers in both regular and special education instruction to aid in the academic difficulties students have experienced at previous school placements. In the evening students work on the Study Island computerized program system to enhance their academic skills.
The mission statement of the YES Academy Education Programs is to change a student's inappropriate behavior to a positive behavior and to develop the life skills necessary to sustain the change. We believe that every student has potential and personal endowment that can be developed in a school setting that is structured, supportive and respectful, allowing for a learning environment that is conducive to all students.
Students attend school all year long at YES Academy. They receive an academic education, within the structured, cognitive, and behavioral management program, which includes a peer managed integration system. It is the goal of the YES Academy's Education Program to help each student develop the academic and behavioral skills necessary to reach his full potential and foster success in the school. Any student who graduates from high school during their admission at YES Academy will receive a diploma from Mercer Area School District.
